How Did You Get Asthma?

This video features an overview of asthma and also touches on some of the common elements that can cause asthma.  Though genetics play a large role in whether you will or won’t develop asthma, there are several other situations that can cause the condition:

- Early childhood infections (measles, mumps, pneumonia, scarlet fever, etc)

- Chemical exposure from air pollution (paint fumes, second hand smoke, etc)

- Insufficient immune system development (exposure to second hand smoke as an infant, poor nutrition, etc)
